ABOUNDING IN GOD'S GOODNESS THROUGH BEING GENEROUS WITH THE LITTLE YOU HAVE 2kings4:8-17

This passage from 2 Kings describes the generosity of a Shunammite woman towards the prophet Elisha. She recognizes him as a holy man and, with her husband, provides a dedicated room for him whenever he visits.

In return for her kindness, Elisha, through his servant Gehazi, inquires what he can do for her. Initially, she states she needs nothing, content with her life. However, Gehazi reveals she has no son and her husband is old, implying a lack of an heir. Elisha then miraculously prophesies that she will have a son within the year, which comes to pass.
